My experience as a police officer, small business owner, County Supervisor, and Yuba Water Agency Director have prepared me to lead and be effective from day one at the Yuba Water Agency.

During my terms on the Board of Supervisors, Yuba County was hit hard, experiencing the worst droughts and wildfires in recorded history and navigating through COVID. I focused on building local, regional, state and federal relationships that helped us make huge strides and come out of each crisis stronger.
​
I served over 20 years in local law enforcement and was a nominee for Officer of the Year. I then started Fletcher & Associates Insurance, which is now Farm West Insurance Services, where I serve as CEO. My wife Kathy and I have lived in Yuba County for over 40 years.
​
If elected, I will use my insurance expertise to focus on reducing flood and fire insurance costs and increasing coverage options. Through decades of good planning, the Yuba Water Agency is thriving for the people of Marysville and Yuba County. I will work every day to keep that momentum going.

"My wife and I retired to the foothills of Yuba County 30+ years ago. We built our retirement home and promptly became involved in the many activities of our communities, our church, the fire board, the fire auxiliary, the community center, the museum, and many others.
We have observed that there are two types of volunteers, those who complain about things and those who solve problems. Currently we have several candidates running for a position on the Yuba Water Agency. We have observed that Randy Fletcher is one of those who solves problems. When he was a member of YWA, he initiated a consortium between the Yuba River watershed, the Tahoe National Forest, and Blue Forest that has resulted in hundreds of thousands of acres of rehabilitation of our county’s water ways. People complained about lack of cell service in the upper areas of the county, guess who got a cell tower put in. He was also responsible for getting the ambulance base of operation relocated up into the foothills which greatly reduced response time.
It is rumored that a current member who is running for reelection, Charlie Mathews Sr, holds the record for submitting the most motions to the board that die from the lack of a second because rarely is he in agreement with any of the other members. We need an individual who has a track record of being able to work with others, who can see the big picture, and create solutions that will work for our communities. That person is Randy Fletcher."
